Choose the right hotel is a half of hostilities. Many people only need a few minutes to the hotel room, often they only find the most affordable price. Although price is a general consideration, remember that all the hotel rooms full of want and the hotel manager will struggle to meet the room-rooms every night. So, do not stuck up.

o get the best results, order room first through a travel agency and try flexible with the schedule. Hotel a target market of business usually have cheaper rates at the end of the weekend that they consider as the off season.Contact travel agency, such as the bureau can understand your needs and expectations. They can choose the hotel based on the best service and comfort that is available, and proximity to the city center, airport, restaurants and various entertainment venues.

Reservation

While booking tickets online is an option, but recommended to book through a travel agency. If you choose to contact the hotel directly, but must also be ready with extra charges to pay for the phone. Many hotels have toll-free number which can be contacted. If no such number, and you need to phone the hotel directly, you should phone the afternoon or at night because the morning is a time busy the time the guests check out.

Once the room is available, documentation of all information about hotels and travel plans to be abandoned to a friend or neighbour in case of emergency situations.

If you reserve a hotel room through a travel agency, make a copy of the confirmation of the reservation that they give to you, which states clearly the information about the hotel and arrival date and the date you quit. Bring information about or print out the confirmation of the reservation e-mail when you check in to. Hotel can not deliberately enter the wrong information or reservation is not correct, it is very wise if you take all the files on the reservation to the guard.

Delays

Nothing is worse than driving all day and arrived at the hotel reservation only to discover you have used up or does not have a room available. Key that is never experienced things like this is to know how long tolerance for delays. Most of the hotel network will hold the reservation until the normal six-hour evening. For those who arrived more night reservation guarantee will be required to provide a credit card number. With the guarantee you will be safe, even for those who arrived after midnight, still warm bed awaits. The hotel reserves the right to cancel reservations that have not been guaranteed. If you are late, the phone to the hotel and ask them to hold your reservation until you arrive.

There is no room
Although do not get a room because of over-booking or a mistake in the reservation, no panic and lose the spirit. Many hotels will participate to help overcome the problem by giving a bid to stay in hotels that are still in a network that is located adjacent. If your reservation is guaranteed that char, make sure that the quality of the rooms in the hotel’s new same or better, and you do not accrue additional charges. Hotels must also bear the transportation cost for you to get there. If these things are not, ask to speak to the manager or contact the bureau to ask for help.

Customer service full smile

As a valued customer, your satisfaction is very important. The hotel staff has been trained to work from time to time to meet your needs. However, problems may appear, such as the neighboring room that is not cooperative. Thus, the search hierarchy know customer service at the hotel to get a quick solution. Phone to the travel agency is always a good first step, so that they can talk with the hotel and know the way out of every problem. Although a defence and suggestions, travel agency can usually ease many difficult situations that can satisfy you and the hotel.

At the hotel, front desk staff trained to deal with problems without involving the manager. Then, submit your issue clearly and let them handle them. From toothbrushes to relocate the rusted room, font desk staff will offer a fast and direct. If your complaint outside of their coverage, a polite request to meet with the manager. Managers better understand the importance of customer loyalty and has the authority to offer discounts to guests at the time or for the future. If you do not have to do with the manager, please contact customer service department. Therefore, make sure you write the correct name of the person with whom you speak, dates of, and price issues faced.

Check in

The only problem when it should only check this at the time. With orders already made, the hotel you want to occupy the room as soon as possible. If all information has been confirmed, make sure that the price given is price indeed. Check the check in time and ask the usual questions about the specifics area and the services provided. Ask the hotel for a business card when you lose guard.

Bali is an island in Indonesia north of Australia is one of 17,000 islands (6,000 inhabited) in the archipelago that make up the country of Indonesia, south of Borneo and east of Java. It is located in Indonesia, in the eastern and southern hemispheres. It’s positioned in Southeast Asia, in central Indonesia, and sits just 2km east of the island of Java, west of the island of Lombok and just north of Australia. It’s bordered by the Bali Sea and the Indian Ocean.

Bali It is 145 km (90 miles) long and 80 km (50 miles) wide. As shown on the map below, Bali is situated just east of the island of Java and west of Lombok, in the Indian Ocean.

Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim nation with 231 million people; interestingly, most of Bali’s 3 million people are Hindu. Although many of the islands that make up Indonesia are beautiful and appealing, Bali is particularly attractive. Much of the island is surrounded by beautiful beaches with clear water. Mount Agung, an active volcano, towers 3,142 meters (10,308 feet) above the terrain in the center of the island. Hindu temples dot the landscape and the fertile island overflows with green rice paddies.

The island is a very popular tourist destination, with tourism making up a significant part of Bali’s economy. Terrorist attacks in 2002 and 2005 caused a serious drop in the number of visitors to the island, however, although the industry is improving. Most of Bali’s people work in agriculture, producing rice, coffee, and other crops.

Bali also has a fascinating cultural tradition. Ubud, in the center of the island, is known for arts and crafts, including woodcarving, batik-making, and painting. Balinese dance and Gamelan orchestra performances are common. Small artistic touches are evident throughout much of the island in the form of small offerings presented to Hindu Gods.

When you travel to Bali you are not only going to experience some of the most up market and luxurious hotels and villas available around the world, but in certain rural areas it will seem as though you are stepping back in time. Some of the Balinese people live the same way that they have done for centuries without changing with modern technology.

To most of the Balinese people religion is not only for Sundays but it is deeply ingrained and is a way of life. Hinduism is the main religion on the island and the beliefs and traditions have not been changed by the huge international tourist resorts, massive shopping malls and the many bars that are associated with many of the tourist resorts. Many of the smaller Balinese temples co-exist in between the Western influenced tourist areas. When travelling to Bali you will have to accept that sometimes the roads will be impassable due to religious ceremonies and instead of becoming impatient, enjoy the experience, after all there is nothing you can do to speed the process up. The streets are transformed into a maze of colours and costumes, with people dressed in beautiful traditional dresses and garments.

Many things in Bali go a lot slower that in developed countries, so patience is one thing you will need to pack with you especially if you intend to do some travelling around Bali’s rural areas. The people of Bali are extremely friendly and always return a smile. The politeness and courtesy you receive in any of the service industries is supreme and renowned worldwide. The services are cheap and you will always feel happy to give a tip even in the expensive restaurants and hotels due to the exceptional service and friendly attitude that greats you. Tourism is a big source of income for the Balinese and they literally bend over backwards in order to make your stay as comfortable and happy as possible.

Year round temperatures averaging 31 degrees Celsius.

High humidity can be expected during the Wet Season between the months of October – April. located about 6 degrees South of the equator.

It means that the sun rises at 6am and sets at 6pm most of the year. The temperature variation is very small, and Bali does not have four seasons (except the hotel, of course) but has only wet season, typically from September to February, and a dry season for the other half of the year.

But the difference is marginal; at the peak of the wet season you will see about a half-hour to an hour serious downpour in the afternoon, about perfect for a siesta.

Those on a budget can find the local warungs or you can try night market although they’re fast being replaced by more upscale eateries.

Sanur offers a choice ranging from American hamburgers and steaks , country-style Japanese, and sophisticated Italian pastas all the way to haute cuisine with worldwide acclaim. A few restaurants stand heads and shoulders above the crowd for the quality and the originality of their food.

A list of favorite restaurant in the Sanur

Warung Blanjong, Jl Danau Poso 78, ☎ +62 361 285613. 11AM-9PM daily. One of the best budget places to eat in Sanur. The food is Balinese, and they are especially well known for their pepes be pashi (steamed fish wrapped in banana leaves). Very much worth a visit to taste authentic Balinese food.

The Village, Jl Danau Tamblingan 66, ☎ +62 361 285025. 11AM-10PM daily. Attached to the Griya Santrian Hotel, this is perhaps the best known upmarket eatery in Sanur. The food is slick Italian style and they do a reasonable job of creating a suitable atmosphere. Not a good as it was and certainly not cheap, but a decent option in a part of Bali not known for it high quality restaurants. Has an independent street front entrance, and you would not know it is attached to a hotel.

Treo Beach Cafe, Mertasari Beach (100 metres from the Mercure Hotel on the beach), ☎ +62 361 9218588, [17]. 9AM-8PM daily. Beautiful beach location and a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Enjoy your meal in the restaurant or on the outdoor tables on the beach.

Stiff Chilli, Jl Kesumasari 11, Semawang Beach (right on the beach at the end of Jl Kesumasari), ☎ +62 361 288371 (stiffchilli@rjhgroup.com), [16]. 11AM-11PM daily. Beach-front restaurant from the Stiff Chilli chain. Mid-priced, mainly Italian food in a great location

Smorgås Café, Jl Danua Tamblingan/Pantai Karang II, ☎ +62 361 289361. Perhaps the best coffee shop in Sanur. Homemade sandwiches, pastry and quiche. Owned by Swedes and they make their own gravlax.

Massimo, Jl Danau Tamblingan 228, ☎ +62 361 288942 (massimosaccobali@gmail.com), [15]. 11AM-10PM daily. The superb home made gelato here is the ideal treat after a hot day wandering in Sanur. Also excellent pizzas and pastas at this authentic south Italian owned and run restaurant.

Kayu Manis, Jl Danau Tamblingan (north end of Jl Danau Tamblingan), ☎ +62 361 289410. 11AM-10PM daily. Western and asian fusion cuisine at great value prices. A favourite with both travellers for the price and foodies for the quality of the meals.

Cafe Batu Jimbar, Jl Danau Tamblingan, ☎ +62 361 287374, [14]. Every Sanur expat’s favourite cafe hang out. Good deli food and passable coffee.

Amed was traditionally dependent on salt panning and fishing and despite the arrival of tourists, it has retained that feeling so is a place where people stay for weeks at a time.

Amed lies on the north-eastern tip of Bali, about two hours drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport or hotel in Nusa Dua and Kuta. Amed is accessed by turning east at the village of Culik which lies on the main east coast road from Karangasem to Singaraja.

The black sand and fishing boats of Amed is famous for its beaches, lined with traditional outrigger fishing boats. There is quite coarse black volcanic sand at Amed village beach. As you move further east (and away from Mount Agung), the beaches have softer sand and become more of a mid grey-brown in colour. The prettiest bays are probably those at Jemeluk and Lipah but the whole stretch of coastline is very attractive.

Salt production is a declining but still important industry in this area. As you drive along the main coast road through the villages you will see large open drying pans crusted with salt crystals. Those little boxes of gourmet Bali salt crystals you see in delis all over the world probably started their long journey from these very pans.

Jemeluk Bay with Mount Agung in the distance. Most people come to Amed as a getaway, including expats from other parts of the island. It is a favourite honeymoon destination for tourists and is very popular with divers and snorkelers. Day trips to local places of interest such as the water palace at Tirta Gangga and Bali’s most sacred temple, Besakih, can easily be arranged. Mount Agung with lots of trekking options is just 30 to 40 minutes from Amed.

Traditional outrigger boats are available for fishing charters from the main beaches in the Amed area. This normally involves early morning trolling for mackeral.

Have a traditional massage on the beach. Women from the local villages are always on hand for an invigorating massage, especiallly so at Lipah Beach. Enjoy nature and go with the wind on a traditional sailing boat for diving, fishing, exploration, dolphin watching, snorkeling or just swimming and relaxing.

Amed has some good snorkeling within metres of the shore. A reef follows the majority of the coastline and is quite close in. Due to the limited number of visitors to the area, the sea life is healthy and abundant. Amed reef (depth12-22m), with many different kinds of sponges and gorgonians , is home to everything from lobsters, shrimp and goby sets to blue spotted rays and schools of barracuda.

There is a wide selection of hotels in the area and more are appearing all the time. Most tend to be quite small and intimate and built by westerners in partnership with local Balinese. The hotels are well spaced out though so you feel that you have your own private space. There are few TVs in the hotel rooms, so bring a good book to read or better still, spend your time getting to know the locals. The pace of life is very slow and relaxed in Amed, the people are friendly and they have time!

There are also several hotels at the village of Tulamben to the north of Amed which are intended specifically for visitors intending to dive the wreck of the USS Liberty. These establishments are normally affiliated with a dive operator or run their own operation.

Kuta refers to three jurisdictions. First is the village (Banjar) Kuta, second is Desa Kuta ( higher administrative area than Banjar ), third is Kecamatan Kuta ( higher administrative area than Desa ).

The original Banjar Kuta is approximately the current beach road from Natour Kuta Hotel northward to Jalan Melasti. As a Desa settlement unit, Kuta covers the neighboring traditional Banjars such as Tuban, Legian, and Seminyak. The first Banjar to have been developed was Kuta itself.

Now all these areas are known as Kuta city. All these areas within Desa Kuta have been developing beyond their capacity. There has been rampant construction of hotels, restaurants, shops, and various business activities among Kuta’s narrow streets and gangs (alleys). We will refer each area of Kuta. Central Kuta refers to the area surrounding the beach road. Other areas are: Tuban for south Kuta city, Legian for Legian area, and Seminyak for Northern Kuta city. Kerobokan is northernmost of Kecamatan Kuta. All of these areas have developed tourism facilities such as hotels, villas, restaurants, shops and spas.

Our focus here is central Kuta, where the first hotel was built in 1930 at the current location of Inna Kuta Beach. Central Kuta has some good hotels such as Hard Rock Hotel, Mercure Kuta, Grand Istana Rama, Harris Kuta, Alam Kul Kul Resort, and Pullman Hotels & Resorts.

Tourist class facilities are available along the Poppies lane I and II, where various inexpensive restaurants and hotels are situated within the narrow alleys. Kuta Mall shopping center is in the Tuban area, on the border of Banjar Kuta. Compared to other areas of Indonesia, the development of Kuta has been spectacular. There are well over 100 hotels in every price range and class. The development in Kuta of so many hotels has made the already narrow space overly crowded. Local government has not, unfortunately, been able to plan or control the use of land for the construction of Kuta hotels and other various tourism facilities. This congestion can have a negative effect on Kuta city itself, as it involves the security and comfort of travelers. We anticipate that the local Banjars will be disappointed with this excessive density of traffic and business. However, it cannot be denied that this intense business setting does provide employment for the people.

Kuta Beach is famous for its surf, although it is not recommended for swimming. Kuta offers beautiful sunsets. The beach and its surroundings are ideal for meeting and mixing with locals as well as visitors from abroad. Often dubbed as the centre of nightlife activities in the Southern Bali, Kuta is also famous as a shopping. Inexpensive souvenirs can be found in the street markets. Clothes are on offer all around, with a strong bias towards surf gear and hippie wear. Great silver jewelry is another specialty that can be found easily in Kuta’s shops, boutiques and galleries.

Tuban is one of Banjar settlements group located at the south end and the closest to the airport. The area of Tuban includes the span from the airport northward to Jalan Bakung Sari, near Kuta Mall. The main streets of Tuban Jalan Kartika Plaza, in west Tuban, Jalan Raya Tuban in central Tuban, and Jalan Ngurah Rai,in east Tuban. These three roads lead from south to north, passing through the Tuban area. The most crowded street is Jalan Kartika Plaza where many accommodations, restaurants, and other tourism facilities are located. Some hotels in Tuban have private beaches. One can read our description of hotels to determine if the hotel has a beach. Popular Tuban hotels are located in west and central Tuban areas. There are hotels of various price ranges and class such as Discovery Kartika Plaza Beach Hotel, Ramada Bintang Bali Hotel, Santika Premier Beach Hotel, Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali and The Patra Bali Resort. Medium class Tuban hotels are plentiful such as The Vira Bali Hotel, Bali Dynasty Resort, Bali Rani & The Rani Hotel, Aston Kuta Hotel and Rama Beach Resort. Tuban hotels are located close to the international airport, Ngurah Rai. And this is one advantage that they have. Most of Tuban hotels are within the walking distance of the famous white sand beaches of Kuta.

Discovery Mall in the main street of Tuban, Jalan Kartika Plaza, is one of the biggest and most complex malls in the soutern Bali. It provides a wide selection of shops selling luxury goods ranging from surf wear, to watches and electronic goods.

Over the past few years, Tuban has become a prime resort area and favorite among families with young children. Kids will love playing at Waterbom Park, with its popular waterslides and pools. Nightlife in Tuban features sport bars, the Musro Cabaret Show and various other places with live music.
