Choose the right hotel is a half of hostilities. Many people only need a few minutes to the hotel room, often they only find the most affordable price. Although price is a general consideration, remember that all the hotel rooms full of want and the hotel manager will struggle to meet the room-rooms every night. So, do not stuck up.

o get the best results, order room first through a travel agency and try flexible with the schedule. Hotel a target market of business usually have cheaper rates at the end of the weekend that they consider as the off season.Contact travel agency, such as the bureau can understand your needs and expectations. They can choose the hotel based on the best service and comfort that is available, and proximity to the city center, airport, restaurants and various entertainment venues.

Reservation

While booking tickets online is an option, but recommended to book through a travel agency. If you choose to contact the hotel directly, but must also be ready with extra charges to pay for the phone. Many hotels have toll-free number which can be contacted. If no such number, and you need to phone the hotel directly, you should phone the afternoon or at night because the morning is a time busy the time the guests check out.

Once the room is available, documentation of all information about hotels and travel plans to be abandoned to a friend or neighbour in case of emergency situations.

If you reserve a hotel room through a travel agency, make a copy of the confirmation of the reservation that they give to you, which states clearly the information about the hotel and arrival date and the date you quit. Bring information about or print out the confirmation of the reservation e-mail when you check in to. Hotel can not deliberately enter the wrong information or reservation is not correct, it is very wise if you take all the files on the reservation to the guard.

Delays

Nothing is worse than driving all day and arrived at the hotel reservation only to discover you have used up or does not have a room available. Key that is never experienced things like this is to know how long tolerance for delays. Most of the hotel network will hold the reservation until the normal six-hour evening. For those who arrived more night reservation guarantee will be required to provide a credit card number. With the guarantee you will be safe, even for those who arrived after midnight, still warm bed awaits. The hotel reserves the right to cancel reservations that have not been guaranteed. If you are late, the phone to the hotel and ask them to hold your reservation until you arrive.

There is no room
Although do not get a room because of over-booking or a mistake in the reservation, no panic and lose the spirit. Many hotels will participate to help overcome the problem by giving a bid to stay in hotels that are still in a network that is located adjacent. If your reservation is guaranteed that char, make sure that the quality of the rooms in the hotel’s new same or better, and you do not accrue additional charges. Hotels must also bear the transportation cost for you to get there. If these things are not, ask to speak to the manager or contact the bureau to ask for help.

Customer service full smile

As a valued customer, your satisfaction is very important. The hotel staff has been trained to work from time to time to meet your needs. However, problems may appear, such as the neighboring room that is not cooperative. Thus, the search hierarchy know customer service at the hotel to get a quick solution. Phone to the travel agency is always a good first step, so that they can talk with the hotel and know the way out of every problem. Although a defence and suggestions, travel agency can usually ease many difficult situations that can satisfy you and the hotel.

At the hotel, front desk staff trained to deal with problems without involving the manager. Then, submit your issue clearly and let them handle them. From toothbrushes to relocate the rusted room, font desk staff will offer a fast and direct. If your complaint outside of their coverage, a polite request to meet with the manager. Managers better understand the importance of customer loyalty and has the authority to offer discounts to guests at the time or for the future. If you do not have to do with the manager, please contact customer service department. Therefore, make sure you write the correct name of the person with whom you speak, dates of, and price issues faced.

Check in

The only problem when it should only check this at the time. With orders already made, the hotel you want to occupy the room as soon as possible. If all information has been confirmed, make sure that the price given is price indeed. Check the check in time and ask the usual questions about the specifics area and the services provided. Ask the hotel for a business card when you lose guard.

Amed was traditionally dependent on salt panning and fishing and despite the arrival of tourists, it has retained that feeling so is a place where people stay for weeks at a time.

Amed lies on the north-eastern tip of Bali, about two hours drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport or hotel in Nusa Dua and Kuta. Amed is accessed by turning east at the village of Culik which lies on the main east coast road from Karangasem to Singaraja.

The black sand and fishing boats of Amed is famous for its beaches, lined with traditional outrigger fishing boats. There is quite coarse black volcanic sand at Amed village beach. As you move further east (and away from Mount Agung), the beaches have softer sand and become more of a mid grey-brown in colour. The prettiest bays are probably those at Jemeluk and Lipah but the whole stretch of coastline is very attractive.

Salt production is a declining but still important industry in this area. As you drive along the main coast road through the villages you will see large open drying pans crusted with salt crystals. Those little boxes of gourmet Bali salt crystals you see in delis all over the world probably started their long journey from these very pans.

Jemeluk Bay with Mount Agung in the distance. Most people come to Amed as a getaway, including expats from other parts of the island. It is a favourite honeymoon destination for tourists and is very popular with divers and snorkelers. Day trips to local places of interest such as the water palace at Tirta Gangga and Bali’s most sacred temple, Besakih, can easily be arranged. Mount Agung with lots of trekking options is just 30 to 40 minutes from Amed.

Traditional outrigger boats are available for fishing charters from the main beaches in the Amed area. This normally involves early morning trolling for mackeral.

Have a traditional massage on the beach. Women from the local villages are always on hand for an invigorating massage, especiallly so at Lipah Beach. Enjoy nature and go with the wind on a traditional sailing boat for diving, fishing, exploration, dolphin watching, snorkeling or just swimming and relaxing.

Amed has some good snorkeling within metres of the shore. A reef follows the majority of the coastline and is quite close in. Due to the limited number of visitors to the area, the sea life is healthy and abundant. Amed reef (depth12-22m), with many different kinds of sponges and gorgonians , is home to everything from lobsters, shrimp and goby sets to blue spotted rays and schools of barracuda.

There is a wide selection of hotels in the area and more are appearing all the time. Most tend to be quite small and intimate and built by westerners in partnership with local Balinese. The hotels are well spaced out though so you feel that you have your own private space. There are few TVs in the hotel rooms, so bring a good book to read or better still, spend your time getting to know the locals. The pace of life is very slow and relaxed in Amed, the people are friendly and they have time!

There are also several hotels at the village of Tulamben to the north of Amed which are intended specifically for visitors intending to dive the wreck of the USS Liberty. These establishments are normally affiliated with a dive operator or run their own operation.

Kuta refers to three jurisdictions. First is the village (Banjar) Kuta, second is Desa Kuta ( higher administrative area than Banjar ), third is Kecamatan Kuta ( higher administrative area than Desa ).

The original Banjar Kuta is approximately the current beach road from Natour Kuta Hotel northward to Jalan Melasti. As a Desa settlement unit, Kuta covers the neighboring traditional Banjars such as Tuban, Legian, and Seminyak. The first Banjar to have been developed was Kuta itself.

Now all these areas are known as Kuta city. All these areas within Desa Kuta have been developing beyond their capacity. There has been rampant construction of hotels, restaurants, shops, and various business activities among Kuta’s narrow streets and gangs (alleys). We will refer each area of Kuta. Central Kuta refers to the area surrounding the beach road. Other areas are: Tuban for south Kuta city, Legian for Legian area, and Seminyak for Northern Kuta city. Kerobokan is northernmost of Kecamatan Kuta. All of these areas have developed tourism facilities such as hotels, villas, restaurants, shops and spas.

Our focus here is central Kuta, where the first hotel was built in 1930 at the current location of Inna Kuta Beach. Central Kuta has some good hotels such as Hard Rock Hotel, Mercure Kuta, Grand Istana Rama, Harris Kuta, Alam Kul Kul Resort, and Pullman Hotels & Resorts.

Tourist class facilities are available along the Poppies lane I and II, where various inexpensive restaurants and hotels are situated within the narrow alleys. Kuta Mall shopping center is in the Tuban area, on the border of Banjar Kuta. Compared to other areas of Indonesia, the development of Kuta has been spectacular. There are well over 100 hotels in every price range and class. The development in Kuta of so many hotels has made the already narrow space overly crowded. Local government has not, unfortunately, been able to plan or control the use of land for the construction of Kuta hotels and other various tourism facilities. This congestion can have a negative effect on Kuta city itself, as it involves the security and comfort of travelers. We anticipate that the local Banjars will be disappointed with this excessive density of traffic and business. However, it cannot be denied that this intense business setting does provide employment for the people.

Kuta Beach is famous for its surf, although it is not recommended for swimming. Kuta offers beautiful sunsets. The beach and its surroundings are ideal for meeting and mixing with locals as well as visitors from abroad. Often dubbed as the centre of nightlife activities in the Southern Bali, Kuta is also famous as a shopping. Inexpensive souvenirs can be found in the street markets. Clothes are on offer all around, with a strong bias towards surf gear and hippie wear. Great silver jewelry is another specialty that can be found easily in Kuta’s shops, boutiques and galleries.

Tuban is one of Banjar settlements group located at the south end and the closest to the airport. The area of Tuban includes the span from the airport northward to Jalan Bakung Sari, near Kuta Mall. The main streets of Tuban Jalan Kartika Plaza, in west Tuban, Jalan Raya Tuban in central Tuban, and Jalan Ngurah Rai,in east Tuban. These three roads lead from south to north, passing through the Tuban area. The most crowded street is Jalan Kartika Plaza where many accommodations, restaurants, and other tourism facilities are located. Some hotels in Tuban have private beaches. One can read our description of hotels to determine if the hotel has a beach. Popular Tuban hotels are located in west and central Tuban areas. There are hotels of various price ranges and class such as Discovery Kartika Plaza Beach Hotel, Ramada Bintang Bali Hotel, Santika Premier Beach Hotel, Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali and The Patra Bali Resort. Medium class Tuban hotels are plentiful such as The Vira Bali Hotel, Bali Dynasty Resort, Bali Rani & The Rani Hotel, Aston Kuta Hotel and Rama Beach Resort. Tuban hotels are located close to the international airport, Ngurah Rai. And this is one advantage that they have. Most of Tuban hotels are within the walking distance of the famous white sand beaches of Kuta.

Discovery Mall in the main street of Tuban, Jalan Kartika Plaza, is one of the biggest and most complex malls in the soutern Bali. It provides a wide selection of shops selling luxury goods ranging from surf wear, to watches and electronic goods.

Over the past few years, Tuban has become a prime resort area and favorite among families with young children. Kids will love playing at Waterbom Park, with its popular waterslides and pools. Nightlife in Tuban features sport bars, the Musro Cabaret Show and various other places with live music.

Nusa Dua comes from two tiny islands at the tip the current Nusa Dua. These two islands are called Nusa Dua in the Balinese language. Nusa means land, and Dua means two; so Nusa Dua means the “two lands “. We now use the name of Nusa Dua to refer the specially designed tourist resort area which is managed under Bali Tourism Development Corporation. Several luxury hotels are located here. On the list of hotels we refer to Nusa Dua Hotels, to show the exact position of the hotels. We have prepared the column showing the location of each hotel – Nusa Dua hotels, Tanjung Benoa hotels, and South Nusa Dua hotels. Nusa Dua hotels are mainly luxurious hotels rating 5 stars. The villas are likewise mostly rated 5 star. Published rates range from US$ 200++ to US$ 800++per night. Surounding Nusa Dua hotels are beautiful gardens and the Bali Golf and Country Club with it’s beautiful greens and artificial lake.

This enclave of golf, hotels, shops, restaurants and convention centres was a pusposely-built beach resort area to lessen the impact of tourism upon Bali and the Balinese. It is on the eastern tip of the Bukit Peninsula and is made up of many famous brand hotels. Supremely secure and peaceful the guest seldom leave the vicinity, except perhaps for guided tours by coach or organized shuttle busses.

The beach in this area is particularly stunning, with spectacular low tides, complete with a 5 km promenade. Not only is it a good stroll at any time but it also makes it easy to sample pleasures of the other beachside resorts.

Some of the most sumptuous and luxurious hotels in the world find their home in Nusa Dua. You can relax to get spa treatment after a day of surfing or diving, or you can tee off into the sunset, while watching the gentle waves come from the blue sea and caress the banks surrounding the luscious greens. Tranquil swimming pools under the coconut trees seem to be one with the distant blue sea. In Bali, Nusa Dua is the place to stay in style

Tulamben is a small fishing village on the north-east coast of Bali. The region belongs to Northeast Bali locally called Karangasem which covers most of Bali’s east coast with its capital city Amlapura.
The Journey from south Bali to Tulamben takes you through beautiful Balinese countryside, past rice terraces, along the coast, via rural villages, with great views of mount Agung Bali most revered volcano.

The ride from Bali’s international airport will approximately take 2 hours through Bali’s newest highway of Tohpati – Kusamba. The village of Tulamben is located approximately 20 minutes after Tirtagangga. The resort is located right on the village bay next to a local temple called Pura Batu Kelebit. A resort sign is set by the main road to guide you to its entrance. There is certainly another option available through the region of Kintamani heading to Tejakula but the above rout is most recommended as it is the shortest and most convenient.

It sits at the foot of Mount Agung in the tiny village of Tulamben in the northeastern coast of Bali, right on the black lava-rock beach and some of Bali’s most accessible coral reefs.

It is among the most popular dive sites on Bali since the wreck of the Liberty, a US Army Transport ship torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in 1942 lies just off shore. During high-season, up to 100 divers descend to the wreck each day.

Tulamben Bay, being on Bali’s northeast coast, receives vary plankton-rich waters from the Indonesian Through flow (the major ocean current that moves from the Pacific to Indian Ocean)
Slightly north of Tulamben is Kubu with plentiful gorgonians, bommies with beautiful soft corals, scores of nudis, and where conditions always seem to be calm! Five minutes eastwards by outrigger, batu kelebit is is where you are most likely to see pelagics including on rare occasions – dolphins. Further east, Batu Niti has the area’s most pristine corals. There is also `muck-diving’ on seraya slope, 5 minutes south of Tulamben Bay.

Ubud is known worldwide for its painting style. This Ubud painting style has attracted foreign painters since the 1930s. The role of foreign painters on Ubud painting has been important. They have kept the spirit of native Ubud painting while developing dimensional effects. Thay have also promoted the Ubud style abroad through exhibitions.

The anthropologists’ role in describing Ubud as the colony of artists has been significant as has their role in writing about Ubud and Bali in general. Ubud and Mas are two areas separated by only three kms. Mas, in the 1970s was a village, while Ubud had been a small town and the home of the Ubud king’s palace. Both Ubud and Mas have been attracting many visitors. The king of Ubud approved the construction of the first hotel on the slope of Campuhan River, which is now Hotel Campuhan. There are now an abundance of hotels and guesthouses throughout Ubud. Some local people even changed their houses into guest house, and originally offered them free to the visitors and artists who wanted to stay longterm in Ubud. Starting in the 1980s Ubud, like Kuta and Sanur, saw a great deal of hotel construction. No doubt a lot of the natural beauty of Ubud was destroyed by this development. Today Ubud has even more hotels than Sanur. There are hotels of every price range and class.. There are three hotel areas: in the town proper, in Kedewatan, and in the Pejeng area. The luxury hotels are mainly situated along the slopes overlooking the Agung River. Ubud hosts some of the most expensive hotels in Bali.

Ubud itself is like a museum. There are art Galleries everywhere: studios and private art collections. Pita Maha is the first foundation in Ubud to organize painting and carving artists into an association.

The foundation has called Ratna Warta Museum, the oldest fine arts museum in Ubud. The curator of the museum is the king of Ubud, Tjokorda Gede Soekawati; and the opening was attended by the minister of culture and education of the Republic of Indonesia. Then there is the Neka Museum This is the second museum in Ubud, owned by Sutedja Neka, an Ubud resident. The museum is located around 500 meters to the north of the bridge in Campuhan. They have a collection of various paintings, mainly Ubud style and Batuan style. Agung Rai Fine Arts Museum is the latest and biggest museum, located in southern Ubud, and owned by Anak Agung Rai.. Exhibitions here are of various paintings styles: Ubud style, as well as other Indonesian and foreign styles. The curator of the museum also organizes some art activities that can be joined by the guests.

The first village to have developed wood carvings was actually Sumampan village, belonging to Sukawati Kecamatan area; the location is close to Ubud. Wood carving was then developed in popular Mas village. Carving for Balinese was a kind of religious expression. Everywhere in Bali there are at least one or two carvers in a village. Sumampan village is known for the fine black ebony wood carvings used for the figures of Ramayana. Tengkulak village is known for animal carvings such as ducks, chicken and others.
Bitra village is known for their fish carvings and frogs.Tegalalang – known for their plantation carvings: flowers,, complete trees, bananas trees . Mas has mixed carving style. And most of the areas carvers have moved to this village.

Negara is the capital city of Jembrana, Bali’s western most district where Bali’s oldest remains of prehistoric humans have been found.

Jembrana also happen’s to Bali’s most sparsely populated district. Jembrana is most heavily Javanese names like Palarejo are common in the area; in some instance the people have adopted Balkinese `Subak’ style irrigation practices. In a subtle gray area around Negara you can see where Java really starts. You begin to notice more mosques, `Peci’, Javanese style wooden `Cikar’ carts pulled by plodding water buffalo. Other than exciting bull races held in the vicinity of Negara, in which buffalo thunder down racetracks at speeds of 80-kph, there is a dearth of historic sight and cultural performances. The regency does offer utterly unique dance and gamelan forms isolated, stunning sea temples, challenging surf, and heavily trafficked 71 km long stretch of highway paralleling a coast lined with rocky, black sand beaches pounded by high surf.

Bali Barat National Park lies at the western side of Bali some 10% of Bali’s total and area. The Park is the last refuge of one of the most endangered birds of the world the bali starling. Bali barat is mountainous and consists of primary monsoon forest, savannah, and coral islands.

Kerobokan is a short distance from the center of Legian, Seminyak and Denpasar a tranquil expanse rice field area at the south west coast of Bali. The area is conveniently close to the restaurants and shops of Seminyak. It is an ideal base from which to explore the rest of the island with furniture and handicraft shops with wholesale price close by and is only 12 km from the Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Just south of Cangu, and to the north of Seminyak, this is another area being developed by resort companies to attract visitors from the overflowing Kuta / Legian strip. Like Cangu, it’s a bit too far from the nightlife scene but would suit those who wish to spend some quiet days relaxing by the pool or on the beach.

Kerobokan also known as expatriates community area that lived and making business in Bali. From kerobokan is only 5 minutes drive to Batu Belig and Legian Beach or to finest Italian restaurant “La luciola”.

Batu Belig, Kerobokan is a short distance from the centre of Kuta, Legian and Denpasar a tranquil expanse of golden sand beach on the south west coast of Bali.

CANDIDASA is the most popular destination in the East of Bali and offers a classy alternative to the hussle and bussle of the Southern areas. The original development of the 70's centered around the lagoon and fishing village, gradually extending along the beach in both directions in the classic style of Bali beach developments.

The name Candidasa came from this temple. Candi means temple, and dasa means ten. So Candidasa means 10 temples. Candidasa and environs have matured and today offer accommodation from the most basic to 5 star resorts (complete with helipad) and everything in between. In addition to the fine dining at the resorts there is now good to excellent food to be had at a number of boutique hotels and a few of he many restaurants lining the main street.

Take a wander along the street and while deciding where to it tonight browse the shops to see what tickles your fancy. Don’t expect discos or clubs as that’s not what Candidasa is about. Here you are living in a village and quickly connect with and fell part of the local scene.

Apart from reading there are plenty of the other things to do – many associated with working off those extra holiday calories. East Bali is rightly famous for it’s dive sites and Candidasa is no exception with good snorkeling and diving in the bay and around the nearby rocky islands. The locals can take you fishing, trekking in the hills or drive you to nearby beaches or other parts of this fascinating area.

There are three distinct hotel areas in Candidasa: east, west and north. A trip to Candidasa from the Denpasar area is a relatively short one. This makes the area attractive to visitors staying in the more heavily populated areas of Kuta and Sanur.

Legian is in central Kuta. The location is just north of Kuta Beach and south of Seminyak. The main area of Legian straddles Jalan Legian, starting from Jalan Melasti at the southern end to Jayakarta Hotel to the north. Jalan Legian is famous for its night life. The beaches are fine white sand and not quite as crowded as Kuta Beach.

A few years ago Legian was a small village situated a short distance from Kuta, b ut has spread out so much that Legian is now part of the greater Kuta Area. Legian is a quieter alternative and has a mire sophisticated nightlife scene focusing on dining-out and socializing rather than full-on partying.

A little more sophisticated than Kuta , the pace is slower although there is everything the visitor could wish for shop, galore, restaurants, night clubs, bars, boutique hotels, hotels as wel as villas and private homes. Legian becomes a little more residential with many expatriates also living in the area.

Legian stretches from Legian Beach Hotel to Jayakarta Hotel on what is still known as Jalan Rum Jungle. All types of accommodation, including villas, hotels and home-stays, are available along with some good eating and few interesting bars, most of which close by midnight. Most of the popular hotels such as: Bali Mandira and Padma Bali Resort at Legian, are on the beach along here

There is no proper road in front of the hotels, but there is paved pathway between the hotels and the beach which is only open for authorized vehicles when a ceremony is being held. This pathway acts like a boulevard and gives guest in this area the advantage of being able to stroll along this stretch to a number of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs at the end of Jalan Double Six. Many of the bars and restaurants found along this stretch of the beach are foreign owned, but locally run. Due in part to this fusion there is a great choice of culinary diversion from which to choose.

While nightlife is not so frantic, Legian does have its own entertainment scene. Close to the action but far enough away for some down time, Legian still retains something of its village atmosphere and is easy to walk around with good shopping scattered everywhere, tempting you to come.

Beachside, Legian have more laid back beach style-less hustle, fewer vendors, but good facilities. Surfing is popular with surf schools to help those in need, as well as volleyball, Frisbee, Bungee Jumping, and racquetball. Here you can also try to hop on boogie boards and surfboards hired from the beach. Have manicure, pedicure or braid your hair while relaxing under your umbrella.
